Exhibitions and workshops highlighting the creativity, design and innovation ofthe Ducati brand
The Shanghai Expo 2010, which was inaugurated on 31 May and will run until 31 October, is the first world exposition on the theme of the “city”. The slogan for the Shanghai World Expo is “Better City, Better Life”, and Bologna was selected with 45 other cities from around the world as an example of excellence in the fields of culture, creativity, technological innovation, human rights and social participation, urban and infrastructural transformation. It is the ideal setting for the special participation of Ducati, whose bikes and victories on all the world's major circuits make it an indisputably high-profile ambassador for “made in Italy” with strong ties to the territory and the city.
From 1 august, Ducati will be exhibiting two different bikes each month at the Bologna Pavilion: in August, the Monster 696 and the Superbike 848; in September, the Superbike 1198S CorseEdition and theHypermotard 796; in October, the Multistrada 1200 and the Streetfigther. The Ducati 2010 collections of apparel and merchandising will also be exhibited.
The event was organised by Ducati in collaboration with Tongji University, the Design Centre and the Regional Council to coincide with the Emilia Romagna week at the Expo. On 13 September, an evening event will be held by Ducati at Tongji University to mark the opening of an exhibition entirely dedicated to the world of Ducati. The event's main theme will be creativity, design and technological innovation.
